I am a woman of that “certain age” who finds herself living life backwards. I feel better and more alive than I ever have and I plan to continue that way. This blog is meant to contain reflections on my activities, my life, life in general and whatever else strikes me as I continue through my life.
I’ve had a wonderful life (so far) filled with lots of interesting detours and fruitful sidetracks. I like to see my life as an adventure. All my experiences (both conscious and otherwise) have conspired to provide a full and enjoyed life. Of course, there have been the inevitable setbacks, sadness and adversity. But those are the real anvils on which our character is shaped. I embrace, to the best of my ability, the ups and the downs.
Through a strange sequence of events I have spent the last 20 years in San Diego working as a software engineer of various capacities (from grunt developer to VP). I love my work but work alone doesn’t make a life. I am fortunate to have a loving husband, three wonderful children (and their spouses/mates) and, to my great delight, one grandson. It has come as a complete surprise how much I love that child!
I have had a lifelong interest in food, cooking, baking and health. A more recent passion is photography. This blog is intended as a way to share my life and interests with others.
