- I am a woman of a "certain age" that continues to be totally engaged with life. This takes many forms but is currently focused on art. I have hesitated for a long time to refer to myself as an artist. But no more! I am unshackling myself from my inner critic and saying, "I am so too an artist!" Art can encompass many activities and pursuits. My current (and historic) passion are fiber related arts. Quilting, surface design, embroidery, dyeing and painting. As offshoots of this interest, I enjoy drawing, sketching and watercolors. My work could easily be classified as mixed media. I love combining colors, textures and images to produce a surface. My intention in resuming blogging is to share this passion and to help focus my intention into regular, consisten action.
